History
The flock was founded in 2007 with two sheep bought out of the Northern Region Jacob sale at Skipton from Sid Moore and Clive Richardson. These were a Willmors ewe in lamb to Willmors Falcon and a Knowlton ewe in lamb to Border Lancer. They both had twins and one from each of these pairs are still doing well for us today. For our next two years we borrowed Hurrsdale Davey Jones who went on to do very well for Gavin Haworth in the show ring. These two crops of lambs have formed the foundation of our flock. In 2010 we bought our current stock tup Dun-Mor Van Der Sa and used him along side Jolly Fudge. Van Der Sa produced a lovely bunch of lambs for us that spring and Fudge had a nice pair of lambs out of a Yoredale ewe, both of which we showed that year. We have used Van Der Sa since and we have had some very good lambs. In 2012 we purchased Border Trojan from Clive Richardson and he produced some good stock as well. Hopefully the Dun-Mor/Border cross should work in the future. The Jolly flock has also been helped along its way with females purchased from the Nettlebed, Pentrenant, Meathop, Hurrsdale, Arnydie and Yarningale flocks. In 2010 we started showing and selling for the first time and are pleased with our success so far and hope to carry this on in the future.
